Маршрут / Visiting Rules

  • Cave tours are available based on the opening hours specified each year by the Cave Administration of the Czech Republic and published at
  • Special tours outside of the regular opening hours are possible if operational conditions allow it and may be booked after an agreement with the administration office of Javoříčské Caves; the group must have at least 10 paying visitors; there is 100% extra charge for each person.
  • If required for safety or other reasons, the caves may be closed either partially or completely.
  • Should the cave be closed for a longer time, notifications will be posted on the given facility, published at, and disseminated in the relevant media.
  • Due to the high level of difficulty of the route, entry to the cave is not recommended to children under the age of 3 or to persons with physical handicaps.

  • Entry times for individual groups are defined by the operation dispatcher based on the number of visitors and the language to be used in the narration and explanation of operational conditions. More information regarding entry times is available at the cash desk.
  • The lowest number of visitors in a group is 2, and the highest is 40; the dispatcher shall decide how many people to include in each group.
  • Groups booked in advance in writing or by telephone shall have priority over other visitors; if a group fails to turn up at the cashier at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time, that group will lose its priority to enter the cave.
  • Entry fees are paid prior to entering the cave and the ticket is valid for one day only. Tickets are non-refundable.
  • Visitors can only make audivisual recordings without using a tripod, selfie stick and flash. It is not allowed to retard the tour, move away from the group and hold down other visitors. If this instruction is violated, the guide may forbid making audiovisual recordings. Images and video recordings may not be used for commercial purposes without the aproval of the Cave Administration of the Czech Republic.
  • After purchasing tickets, visitors should gather at the given time in front of the cave entrance.
  • Entry to the caves is organised by the tour guide according to the instructions of the dispatcher.

  • Each cave tour lasts approximately 60 minutes (short tours 40 minutes), and covers a distance of 790 m (short tours 360 m) and contains 214 stairs (short tours 236 stairs).
  • The temperature in the caves is always around 8 °C; warm clothing is recommended.
  • Entry to the cave without a tour guide is strictly prohibited. During the tour, visitors are required to observe the instructions of the tour guide and requested not to disturb the narration.
  • Take extra caution throughout the entire route, especially on stairs and when in narrow or low-ceilinged spaces. Hold on to handrails and pay attention to notifications issued by the tour guide.
  • Should any extraordinary event occur (for example, a power blackout), visitors must remain in one location, keep calm, and observe the instructions of the tour guide.
  • Visitors must report any injury or illness (including cases of nausea) during the tour to the tour guide, who will ensure that the situation is handled properly.
